Quality – Security – Trust
In May 2017, an idea that is unique in the German-speaking world was realized within the diving travel industry. A group of 19 dive tour operators joined together in a community of interests and founded the “Association of Dive Tour Operators e.V.”. The main focus is on a closer and intensive cooperation in order to ensure many advantages for customers through bundled energy. The idea for such an association, which ensures the quality and reliability of travel companies, was already put forward by some operators at the Interdive 2016 trade fair. A first meeting took place during the Boot 2017 and already in May the project was put into practice at another meeting.
The aim of the ADTO is to bring together trustworthy dive tour operators in an association, which in turn must meet important, fundamental criteria in order to offer their customers quality and safety. All members of the ADTO have been in the diving tourism market for at least 5 years, many of them for more than 20 years, have made their own passion for travel and diving their profession, and offer the customer the necessary security through legally required insurance. Environmental aspects and sustainability of the service providers are also on the priority list of the club members.
Those who book with an ADTO operator can be sure that the trips are carefully prepared and carried out and, above all, that they are covered. This is what the certified quality seal of the ADTO will stand for!
